TL;DR –
- First ANSI KS order will be at fulfillment center Oct 4/5th
- ANSI production speed at ~50% of projections
- ISO production will start in 2nd week of Oct

Hello everyone👋
Let’s get into this update! Btw as always if you would like to see more frequent smaller updates please follow our Instagram broadcast channel, as we post there almost daily.
Nomad [E] ⚙️📦
Production is humming along about 500 units per day, which is honestly slower than the 1000 units/day goal anticipated. There having been a some issues that only presented themselves at larger sample sizes.
Atm these issues, and our solutions, include:
1. Screw tolerance (+/-) being .1-.2mm too large to slot properly in some places on the board
Solution: Made a jig to filter out screws with the wrong tolerance (>5mm)
2. Adhesive not holding the magnets tight enough
Solution: Use an epoxy base adhesive, record defect rate
3. Mini 2/3 way switches on the back require a different soldering temp that the other components
Solution: Partially disassemble the component, run it through the line, and install the sensitive part once through the SMT phase
4. Keycaps and switches are being installed manually (creating a bottle neck)
Solution: Hire more workers to compensate (currently we have 30 people working on the line in total)
5. Transparent box was too transparent and created an undesirable logo overlay effect
Solution: Graphically redesign the underlying anti-tamper label to create a better overall look
A week long Chinese holiday will begin on October 1st, but our fulfillment centre will be able to intake our stock of completed ANSI units on the 4/5th. Our custom shipping boxes should also arrive around the same time, and we can start shipping the KS/Shopify orders. I will need to keep you guys posted about the rate of orders will be able to ship per day as we haven’t worked with them before, and they are unfamiliar with our products.

Figma Creator Micro 📦
The FCM have finished production including the accompanying wrk. Together keyset and they have been scheduled to be shipped to the fulfillment centre. We are expecting to be able to start fulfilling them during the second week of October, shortly after the workers come back from their national holiday.
KNOB1 🧪
We have the sample PCB, and display on-hand now! We will start developing and testing the firmware with Input right away. We expect it to take about 1-1.5months to get a stable firmware version with all the promised features.
